Protecting your personal data is important to me. Personal data is processed on this website only insofar as this is necessary for the technical operation of the website, the handling of contact enquiries or compliance with legal obligations.

Personal data includes any information that can be used to identify a natural person directly or indirectly. This includes, for example, names, email addresses, IP addresses and the content of a message.

Personal data is processed in particular on the basis of the General Data Protection Regulation. Depending on the processing activity, the following legal bases may apply in particular:

3. Hosting and Server Log Files

When you access this website, data is processed automatically by the web server. This may include, in particular:

  • the IP address of the device accessing the website,
  • the date and time of access,

  • the previously visited website,

  • the operating system of the device used.

This processing is necessary to provide the website, ensure its functionality and security, and detect and investigate attacks or improper access.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in the secure, stable and functional operation of this website.

According to the hosting provider, server log files are generally deleted after no more than seven days. They may be stored for longer in individual cases where this is necessary, for example, to investigate an attack on information technology systems.

4. Contact Form

A contact form is available on this website. The form is provided using the WordPress plugin WS Form.

When you use the contact form, the following information is processed:

  • your name,
  • your email address,
  • the content of your message,
  • the time of submission,
  • technically necessary connection and transmission data.

The data is processed exclusively to receive, process and respond to your enquiry.

Where your enquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contractual relationship, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. General enquiries are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in responding to incoming enquiries and communicating with the respective senders.

Providing the information in the form is voluntary. However, without your name, email address and message, the enquiry cannot be submitted through the form or answered.

The storage settings for form submissions are currently configured so that submissions are automatically moved to the WS Form trash after 90 days. In addition, data is deleted once the enquiry has been fully processed and there are no statutory retention obligations or legitimate reasons requiring further storage.

55. Contact by Email

If you contact me by email, the data you provide will be processed. This includes, in particular:

  • your email address,
  • your name, where provided,
  • the subject and content of your message,
  • the date and time of the communication,
  • any other information provided voluntarily.

The data is processed to handle and respond to your enquiry.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication serves to initiate or perform a contract. Other enquiries are processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interest lies in handling incoming enquiries and communicating with the respective senders.

Emails are deleted once the enquiry has been fully processed and there are no statutory retention obligations or other legitimate reasons requiring further storage.

6. Email Delivery via WP Mail SMTP

The WP Mail SMTP plugin is used to ensure reliable email delivery from WordPress.

Emails are sent through the mailbox set up with ALL-INKL:

The plugin transmits the information required for sending emails to the ALL-INKL SMTP server. This may include, in particular, the recipient’s address, sender details, subject line, message content and technical delivery information.

WP Mail SMTP serves as a technical interface within the WordPress installation. The email itself is sent through the mail server of the hosting provider ALL-INKL.

Depending on the content of the respective message, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

7. Cookies and Language Selection

This website is available in German and English. The WordPress plugin Polylang is used to manage the different language versions.

Polylang may set the following functional cookie:

pll_language

This cookie stores the language code of the language version most recently visited. This allows the website to be displayed in the language previously selected when you return at a later date.

According to the plugin provider, the cookie contains the language code of the page most recently visited and has a default storage period of one year.

The storage of or access to the cookie is based on Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG insofar as the cookie is necessary to provide the language display selected by the user. Subsequent processing is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in providing a user-friendly and functional multilingual website.

The cookie can be deleted through your browser settings. If cookies are completely disabled, the selected language may no longer be stored permanently. Polylang states that pll_language stores the most recently used language code for a default period of one year. (Polylang)

8. SSL or TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption.

You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the website address begins with https:// and the browser usually displays a padlock or security symbol.

Encryption is intended to protect data transmitted between the browser and the web server against unauthorised access, interception and alteration.

These measures serve to ensure the security of processing in accordance with Article 32 GDPR.

9. Recipients of Personal Data

Personal data is disclosed only where this is necessary for the purposes described, where there is a legal obligation to do so, or where another legal basis permits the disclosure.

Recipients or categories of recipients may include, in particular:

  • ALL-INKL as the hosting and email service provider,
  • technical service providers acting on my behalf,
  • authorities or other public bodies where there is a legal obligation,
  • persons involved in the technical administration of the website or the handling of an enquiry.

Personal data is not disclosed for advertising purposes.

10. No Analytics or Advertising Tracking Services

At present, no analytics or advertising services integrated through Google Site Kit are used on this website.

In particular, the following services are currently not configured:

  • Google Analytics,
  • Google AdSense,
  • Google Tag Manager through Site Kit.

Accordingly, no visitor analysis or advertising profiling is currently carried out using these services.

If analytics, advertising or comparable services are introduced at a later date, this Privacy Policy will be updated before they are activated. Where consent is required, the relevant services will be loaded only after valid consent has been given.

11. General Storage Periods and Deletion

Personal data is stored only for as long as is necessary for the respective purpose of processing.

Once the purpose no longer applies, the data is deleted unless statutory retention obligations, the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, or other legitimate reasons require continued storage.

The following criteria apply in particular to individual processing activities:

  • server log files: generally no longer than seven days,
  • form submissions: currently moved automatically to the trash after 90 days,
  • contact enquiries and emails: until the enquiry has been fully processed, unless further retention is required,
  • Polylang language cookie: by default, for up to one year.

You may request the correction of inaccurate personal data and the completion of incomplete personal data.

Following an objection, the personal data concerned will no longer be processed unless compelling legitimate grounds for the processing can be demonstrated which override your interests, rights and freedoms, or unless the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
